Why our youngest client is also one of our most exciting

In our work dealing with some truly incredible entrepreneurs, we meet some amazing people, few more so than Siobhan Wilson who, at 14, is already an accomplished public speaker, author and publisher, entrepreneur and philanthropist having raised a substantial amount of donations for medical research.

Driven by a desire to find ways to comfort children who are experiencing medical, social or emotional trauma, Siobhan undertook the journey of writing children’s books to share her own story and has now engaged Strictlymarketing to help her reach a greater audience.

To date she has three books to her credit –Sakaela the Sneezy Pixie Visits Amy; Zizzy the Wheezy Pixie Meets Moondrop and; Minksy the Meltdown Pixie Helps Tommy – with 10% of all sales donated to medical research for children.

Siobhan explained that her work is meant to drive a culture of kindness which helps to boost self-esteem and build resilience and to do this, she draws on her own experiences.

Children were afraid to be too close to Siobhan for fear they would “catch” her eczema and she was excluded from sleepovers and play dates because parents feared her allergies, including anaphylaxis, might trigger a medical emergency.

“When I was six, I was travelling to a medical appointment and realised I was not the only one with medical conditions,” Siobhan said. “I knew then that I wanted to help other children not feel alone and so the idea of Our Pixie Friends was born.”

Strictlymarketing will work with Siobhan and her team to grow her personal brand and grow the Our Pixie Friends business.

“Siobhan is such an amazing kid,” Strictlymarketing Managing Director, Bev Strickland, said. “She has a mile long list of accolades and her number one motive is to make sure kids with illness or disabilities know that they are not alone and that there are many people just like them.

“It is such a pleasure to work with a client who has such pure intentions and is so very clear on what she wants to achieve and how to go about it. It’s an exciting journey we are thrilled to be undertaking with Siobhan.”
