We love celebrating our staff and their successes

It’s time for more cake and bubbles at Strictlymarketing as we celebrate the Graduation of our Marketing Executive, Esmeralda Dzafic, from her latest studies at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) on October 24. Esmeralda graduated with a dual degree – Bachelor of Business (Majoring in Advertising) and Bachelor of Media and Communications with Distinction in both degrees.

Her work at university is as outstanding as her work with Strictlymarketing graduating with a Distinction for both of her latest degrees and being named on the Dean’s List in September 2020 for Academic Excellence.

Esmeralda, who is one of the first of her family to graduate from University, said her studying had been a major focus for her in the last few years and was something she enjoyed and found to be a solid launching pad for her career.

“I really enjoyed advertising and was very excited when some of my work was used as an example for the next generation of students when working with Professor Gayle Kerr teaching a subject with a legacy of over 47 years, Advertising Campaigns,” Esmeralda explained.

“While studying, I was lucky enough to work with many real-world clients, where we had the opportunity to apply some of the strategies and knowledge we had learned. It gave me the confidence to be able to tackle challenges big and small with Strictlymarketing, where I continue to learn on a daily basis.”

Esmeralda hails from a family of Bosnian heritage who arrived in Australia in 1994, escaping a war-ravaged country and seeking a stable, safe and comfortable life. Her parents had a focus early on to ensure their daughters, Esmeralda and Ezana, were given a good education. Her father Senad said Esmeralda’s graduation – with her two degrees no less – was a very proud day for the family and makes her a strong role model for her younger sister who is undertaking a Bachelor of Arts and Education at QUT.

Bev Strickland, Managing Director of Strictlymarketing, said she had been thrilled when first approached to take Esmeralda on as an intern more than 12 months ago and has continued to be impressed with her work since she was taken on as an employee in November 2020.

“We are so very proud of Esmeralda, the work she is doing and her achievements outside of the office,” Bev explained.

“She has taken on some tough challenges with us and has been absolutely killing it, going above and beyond the expectations of our clients time and again.

“It yet again reinforces to us the value of taking part in the internship program, giving young talent and start and encouraging them to be the best they can be professionally. Everyone benefits from its.”
