It has proven to be an incredible year for the team at Strictlymarketing as we have continued to watch our client list grow. Latest additions through 2021 included, Colliers International’s Park Ridge Town Centre in southern Brisbane and Redland Bay Shopping Village which is currently undergoing a huge redevelopment. We also welcomed Beaudesert Fair from the Scenic Rim and Victoria Point Lakeside Shopping Centre on to our client list.
Stay tuned because we have some exciting new news about more clients coming in 2022. It’s looking like another cracker of a year for us ahead!

All the best to Erin Logan as she chases new opportunities
Since starting with Strictlymarketing four-and-a-half years ago, we have watched our Marketing Manager, Erin Logan, grow, develop and thrive as she became an invaluable member of our team; but sadly it is now time to say goodbye as she pursues new career opportunities.
In the time she has been with us, Erin has spearheaded some of our most successful campaigns, including developing one which saw Bracken Ridge Plaza and Mango Hill Market Place named winners in the Excellence in Marketing – Community category, at the 2021 Queensland Retail Property of the Year Awards. She has come a long way since starting with us as a quiet and shy Design Intern in 2017, Strictlymarketing Manager Director, Bev Strickland, said.
“Erin’s time at Strictlymarketing has been a period of fantastic career progression as she moved from intern to Marketing Assistant to Marketing Executive and took up the reins as Marketing Manager in February 2020,” Bev added. “We wish Erin nothing but the very best for the future.”
Erin will be replaced in part by Lauryn Garrard, who will be promoted from Marketing Assistant to Marketing Executive to manage the JLL properties Strictlymarketing does marketing for. These include Bracken Ridge, Mango Hill Marketplace and Nundah Village.
“Lauryn has shown real passion, drive and ability in her work and it makes sense to give her the opportunity to really spread her wings within the company in a more senior role,” Bev continued.
“Lauryn started with us in March 2021, bringing with her a wealth of experience in customer service and retail. I am excited for her to be given this chance and can’t wait to see what she does with it.
“She has excelled in her work, has won over the confidence of the clients, and is always such an upbeat presence to have around. Lauryn’s training will equip her well in her new role, and I am excited to see her grow.
“It is certainly an exciting time for us here at Strictlymarketing.”
Introducing Ileana Turner, our new Marketing & Design Assistant
With Erin moving on and Lauryn being promoted, it was the perfect chance to offer a more permanent placement to Ileana Turner, our new Marketing & Design Assistant.
Ileana started with Strictlymarketing as a Graphic Design Intern in September 2021 and impressed us enough, that we were excited to be able to offer her a role.
Ileana, who will embark on the third year of her Bachelor of Design (Visual Communications) degree at Queensland University of Technology, will be working with us full-time over the holidays and scaling back to permanent part-when when the University year resumes.
And that’s a wrap for 2021
It has been a huge year for Strictlymarketing as it has been for most other businesses in 2021, as we faced ongoing COVID-19 uncertainty, snap lockdowns, restrictions on interstate visitors to Queensland and a world divided by vaccination.
But we don’t like to focus on the negative and instead, will look back on the year as both a challenging one and one in which we achieved many of our goals – some we hadn’t even considered at the start of the year.
Appreciating that the world is evolving rapidly, and so to are the expectations of clients and consumers, we underwent our own re-branding exercise where we refined our colour palette and logo to be used across all media.
We welcomed aboard Marketing Executive Laura Perkins, who brings a solid understanding of a range of platforms, software and tools including Hootsuite, Facebook Creator Studio, WordPress, the Adode suite, Google Ads and Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager and Canva.
We also boosted our video production abilities by skilling up our Graphic Design and video expert Ryan Hayes, understanding videography is increasingly becoming an important element of most strategic and digital marketing campaigns.
“We have seen a clear need, and boundless possibilities, for the use of quality video in marketing campaigns, but this has traditionally only been available to those with large marketing budgets who could engage a video production company,” Bev said.
“Understanding this and determined to ensure our clients have access to video capabilities for their marketing campaigns, we were pro-active and had the very enthusiastic Ryan trained up further allowing us to now provide video as part of our offerings.
So we farewell 2021 and wish each of you a safe, happy and love-filled festive season where we hope you find yourself surrounded by those you love and cherish. Merry Christmas everyone and thank you all for the wonderful support throughout 2021.
We will be closing our offices from December 24 and will be back at it again on Monday, January 10. Naturally, we are available if any of our clients have an emergency and need our help.
