Great Western Super Centre turns 21

Organising a party can be so much fun and it was no different when Strictlymarketing was tasked with helping the Great Western Super Centre, in the northern Brisbane suburb of Keperra, celebrate its 21st birthday on Saturday November 13.

We started with a strong social media campaign where shoppers and guests had the chance to win one of 21 gift vouchers from centre retailers worth $50 each and added in a 1.5 metre balloon display at the front of the centre in the week leading up to its birthday. A history board documenting the history of the shopping centre was also erected and stories about retailers were shared on social media in the lead-up to the party.

On the day of Great Western Super Centre’s birthday, shoppers had a chance to take part in a scavenger hunt to be eligible to compete in the Spin to Win competition with prizes from retailers up for grabs. Of course it wouldn’t be a party without lots of fun stuff for the kids so the carpark will be converted into a wonderland with a huge jumping castle, a roving balloon twister, a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and lolly bag giveaway. The addition of food trucks meant there was something for pretty much everyone.

The birthday celebrations were developed by Strictlymarketing’s Marketing Executive Esmeralda Dzafic with support from the rest of the team.
