As we near the end of February, we’re excited to show off the events and promotions we’ve brought to life over the past month!

Sporty Saturday – Robinson Road Marketplace

Strictlymarketing helped host Sporty Saturday at Robinson Road Marketplace on Saturday, February 6, offering a great chance for kids and their parents to check out some of the local sporting clubs and sign-up to take part this season.

The event attracted 4,676 people to the shopping centre after reaching 12,662 on Facebook through paid advertising.

Local clubs which participated in the event were:

Tenants Club Lime (a gym) and Aspley Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic were also invited to take part in Sporty Saturday.

The event included free gift bags for the first 200 people to attend, a Bike N Blend station where people jump on spin bikes and peddle away at making their own smoothie as well a meet and greet with Brisbane Lions Vice Captain Harris Andrews.

Summer Beach Party – Circle on Cavill

 Circle on Cavill in Surfers Paradise hosted a Summer Beach Party on January 30 where more than $4,000 worth of prizes went to shoppers through a Virtual Spin and Win competition and music was provided by community station, Radio Metro.

Paid Facebook advertising reached 16,302 people with 318 Facebook users indicating they were Going to the event.

The Virtual Spin and Win event facilitated the collection of 206 email subscribers with entrants having to register to be in the running to win.

Lunar New Year – Soul Boardwalk

 Soul Boardwalk at Surfers Paradise welcomed in the Lunar New Year with a band of roving lion dancers and musicians strolling the centre on February 13.

Retailers within the centre each received fortune cookies to be handed out to shoppers with 50 of these in total awarding the recipient a $20 gift voucher for the centre.

 Paid Facebook advertising for the celebration reached 18,799 people with 344 saying they were Going to the event.

Valentine’s Day Instagram Competition – Arndale Shopping Centre

Strictlymarketing worked with Arndale Shopping Centre to run an Instagram Valentine’s Day competition with two winners receiving a $150 gift voucher each – one for @petalsontheplaza and the other for DJ Jewellers.

The competition reached 10,234 people through Instagram with 93% of those reached, not previously following the page.

The campaign notched up 23,396 impressions with paid advertising, 205 entries into the competition and 99 profile visits.

Get to Know Karalee – Karalee Shopping Village

 An ongoing campaign for Karalee Shopping Village, the Get to Know Karalee introduces retailers to the public, sharing their story and that of the business.

The first of these introduces, via video, Lauren from Chapters Book Shop, Cafe and Wine Bar, who started with the business in March last year and is a fan of good books and good wine.

In the first week, the video had been viewed on Facebook 6,337 times and shared 19 times. A competition for a $50 Chapters gift voucher, run-in tandem with the video campaign.

Appointment of new graphic designer

The newest addition to the Strictlymarketing team as a part time Graphic Designer, is the very energetic and tech-savvy, Ryan Hayes.

Ryan completed a Graphic Design internship with us last year and has just graduated with Honours in Advertisement/Business after receiving a Bachelor of Interactive and Visual Design from Queensland University of Technology.

With sound knowledge of online program theories and processes around interactive and visual design and broad experience across the Adobe suite, Ryan promises to use his skills to create emotions and reactions from clients and their consumers.
