Feast on Fifth draws a crowd to Palm Beach

The annual Feast on Fifth provided a day of fun, excitement, entertainment and fabulous food for those visiting Palm Beach’s Fifth Ave on the Gold Coast on Saturday October 16, after a pause in 2020 because of Covid.

Strictlymarketing helped client, shopping centre Pavilions Palm Beach, join in the fun with two new initiatives as part of the event – Pav Perks where custom-made vouchers for retailers in the centre were up for grabs and Putt to Win, pitting shoppers against each other for prizes.

A community event, Feast on Fifth was launched in 2014 and has steadily grown in popularity, scope and attendance ever since, now drawing in more than 5000 patrons from the local area.

Strictlymarketing Managing Director, Bev Strickland, explained Pavilions Palm Beach tasked the company with developing a campaign to embrace the event and drive additional foot-traffic to the popular shopping centre.

“Feast on Fifth is a very popular event and a true community-centred celebration so it made sense for Pavilions on Palm to be involved,” Bev continued.

“As well as being Stage Sponsor for Feast on Fifth, we wanted to do some activities in-centre for members of the community.

“So under the careful direction of Marketing Executive, Esmeralda Dzafic, the Pav Perks and Putt to Win campaigns were developed. Putt to Win utilised the space available in the centre, giving shoppers a chance to compete against each other to win a Pav Perk voucher and free ice cream.

“We had a great response from tenants at Pavilions Palm Beach with 13 retailers getting involved in the Pav Perks initiative. This saw over 400 vouchers, for retailers, worth between $5 and $100 each, given away in the centre during the Putt to Win activation and as a part of the Pav Perks Online Competition.”

Pavilions Palm Beach had over 200 people visit in-centre to Putt to Win and received more than 600 entries across Instagram and Facebook for the Pav Perks Online Competition.

As a result, PavilionsPalm Beach gained an additional 100 new followers on both platforms over the promotional period.
