The team at OMG Decadent Donuts were quick to pivot their business during the COVID-19 crisis taking on a new mantra – when customers can’t come to you, bring your goodies to them.
It was a stroke of genius which saw what could have been a financial crises turned into an opportunity to grow the business and adapt the business model to the current market.
OMG Decadent Donuts has been a client of Strictlymarketing since February 2020 when we were engaged to increase the awareness of the brand through social media.
Bev Strickland, Managing Director of Strictlymarketing explained this has been achieved through a strategic and consistent approach.
Strictlymarketing has also run more than 40 training sessions for OMG licensees on how best to utilise social media to reach a wide audience to promote the products.

“The decision to introduce a delivery service to ensure customers were able to continue to enjoy the OMG range of donuts during lockdown due to COVID, turned out to be a game-changer for a business which was already well on its way to success.
“It sets the business up to be able to thrive regardless of what is happening with lockdowns, COVID restrictions and even people’s fear of going shopping.
“OMG Decadent Donuts are undergoing a period of rapid growth nationally where they are receiving licensing inquiries on a weekly basis often from those wanting to take control of their career or who want to be their own boss, sometimes this long held desire has been brought forward due to redundancy due to COVID.”
OMG Decadent Donuts operates under a licensee model which has proven popular with aspiring business owners. Each licensee is granted an area in which they are able to sell the products at flexible locations within that geographic footprint.
The OMG Decadent Donuts range has been created to appeal to a broad range of donut lovers, including – but not only – those who have food allergies, intolerances or preferences.

And have no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
The founder of OMG Decadent Donut is David Moore, best known to many in Brisbane as the owner of the famous Drift restaurant which was consumed by the Brisbane River in the 2011 floods.
The heartbreaking setback became a period of reflection for Mr Moore who suffered emotionally and financially as a result.
But out of this darkness came the concept for OMG Decadent Donuts which is proving to be both sound and lucrative.
Mr Moore wanted to create an inclusive product which could be enjoyed by just about everyone regardless of if they had any dietary requirements.
OMG Decadent Donuts are available throughout Queensland, Victoria, NSW, South Australia and Western Australia and soon to take on Tasmania and the ACT. They are sold in farmers markets, pop-ups, at festivals and events and in some instances in bricks and mortar retail stores.
OMG has been endorsed and accredited by Coeliac Australia and is Certified by Vegan Australia as well as Kosher Australia and Halal.
