In the final year of completing a dual degree with a Bachelor in Business (Marketing) and a Bachelor of Media and Communications, has recently started a 100-hour Digital Marketing Internship with Strictlymarketing.
Chelsea, who is a student at the of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), has been employed in customer service roles within the hospitality sector for three years, where she also worked on organic and paid social media campaigns for clients within the food sector.
Chelsea is extremely self-motivated and passionate about pursuing a career within marketing, bringing with her an analytical mind which she uses to develop clever marketing strategies.
Managing Director, , explained Strictlymarketing has been a strong supporter of internship programs over the last 6 years and will continue to be so despite lockdowns complicating the process somewhat.
“We have all needed someone to believe in us and give us a chance early in our career and we live that philosophy at Strictlymarketing,” she said. “Over the last 6 years, we have been lucky enough to have had over 30 interns.
“I say lucky because it gives us a chance to help guide and mentor those embarking on a career in digital marketing while also providing us with a chance to learn from those who are being exposed to the latest trends and technologies at universities.
“It is also a great opportunity for us to see what talent is in the market and engage that talent in more permanent roles into the future. Of our current staff of 9, a full 4 completed internships with us before being employed in paid employment with us.
“So yes, we count ourselves pretty lucky to have been able to snap up some real talent before they have even completed their degrees.”
